Vale Peter Hall

From the Australian Mathematic Society secretary, Peter Stacey:

With the deepest regret I inform members that Professor Peter Gavin Hall FRS FAA AO died yesterday, 9th January, in the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Peter  made a huge contribution to the mathematical sciences in Australia and overseas and served as the Society's President from 2006 to 2008. He will be sorely missed.
